REVIEW: The Beano Review 3585

The Beano, Issue 3585
The pirate ship is barely a synonym for The Beano Review, but I will compare them anyway! It is un-educated, biased, and downright stupid! Is The Beano really "riotous"? When did pirates give free gifts? Are they just using long words and ill defined metaphors to get across a sketchy and unsupported point?

The review of the cover was moderate. It was the best cover seen in a while. It was "action-packed". But, what about the disproportion of Gnasher and Wilfred? Surely, after many rants about the size of Freddie Fear's mum and the size of a chunk of cake, they would have noticed that Gnasher is nearly the size of Dennis, although his knee height dog is in the background? And that Wilfred is small enough to get crushed under Gnasher's foot? Also, nice try with the pirate jokes, but just as bad as the Beano's. Other than that, a fair review.

Elsewhere in the review, someone attempts to assault our eyes with the description of  a "dead and decaying" world, that sounds like it murders anyone who reads it and then destroys their soul. The Beano Review Review wonder what happens to anyone that reads this attack on Dave Eastbury. Do they turn all their hatred and rage on one poor artist? No, because that is just stupid. Do the review have something against poor Dave? Can they at least say something positive?

The review of the Bash street kids was on very poor form. The comments about a "overwhelmingly dull and lifeless" playground are true, but what colour is a playground meant to be? Do they want it like this?

What about reviewing of the bad colouring of other things? Such as the tongues? The 10 white tongues and even a white nose are worse than some concrete. A bit of grey colour is better than no colour at all!

One last thing, the spelling and grammar mistakes are horrific. After being run through Grammarly, the best grammar checker I know of, it scored a "59 of 100 weak, needs revision". This is appalling for fully grown adults. If you are going to post a review finding faults in something, make sure there aren't faults in your own work.

Yours, disappointed-ly
